Hospital Build & Infrastructure Turkey newly launched
As world-renowned “Hospital Build & Infrastructure” series in life sciences field, following with the successful hosting in Middle East, Germany, China, Singapore and India, Hospital Build & Infrastructure Turkey will soon land in Istanbul Turkey, October 2012.
Turkey has the unique geographical position: across Europe and Asia; close to Eastern Europe, Middle East and North African countries; convenient traffic; has a strong and potential market growth, known as one of the world's top ten emerging market countries, sixteenth place in the world in terms of economic strength, sixth of Eastern Europe. Under the environment of global recession, Turkey’s GDP is still close to 3.5% growth in 2008.
Turkey's land area is 780,576 square kilometers, a population of more than 70 million, per capita GDP in recent years from around 5000 dollars rise up to about 10,000 dollars, the health care market has great potential growth.
According to the World Health Organization record, the Turkish national health expenditures accounted for 6.7 percent of GDP, per capita healthcare expenditures of 965 dollars in 2009. The country has 1,191 hospitals, 4,095 independent laboratories, 19,627 clinics. More than 90 percent of the hospitals operate by the local government. On the average, for every ten thousand people there were 15 doctors, nursing and midwifery staff, 3 dentists, 3 pharmacists and 24 hospital beds in between 2009 and 20120.
Under the implement of “2003-2013 Health Care Reform plan”, aims to improve service quality and efficiency of the health care system & improve medical facilities, the health care system in Turkey has entered a long-term development phase.
